Services provided by the facility: Freezing and storage of embryos. Thawing of single straw for viability test. Responsibilities of the investigator: · Provide 10 superovulated mated female mice of breeding age. · Provide us with the following information before day of freezing: Genetic name of the mouse Whether it is a transgenic or targeted line Mouse number (your number) Birthdate Genotype (homozygous or heterozygous) Mouse background strain
· Submit a “service request form”. Embryo Freezing Fee includes: Dissection of females and collection of embryos. Freezing of 100-150 embryos in straws using our rate controlled freezer. Thawing of one straw two weeks after freezing for viability check. A yearly storage fee of $50 will be charged for 1-50 straws of embryos and $100 for 51-100 straws. |
