Our new lab is located in the Huntsman Cancer Institute and is part of the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics. The cell culture lab includes Nikon and Olympus inverted microscopes, dissecting microscopes, an Olympus phosphorescence microscope, two laminar flow hoods, incubators, -80 and liquid nitrogen freezers, a Bio-Rad Gene Pulser Xcell electoporator, and equipment to process 96-well DNA plates. The microinjection lab includes two Nikon microscopes set up for blastocyst and pronuclear injections, Nikon and Olympus dissection and surgical microscopes, Flaming / Brown and Kopf pipette pullers, a Narishige and Technical Products microforges, and a Bio-Rad Smart Spec Plus spectrophotometer, . Our mouse colony is located directly across the hall from the laboratory facilities and has a current population of ~1500 mice. |
