Yasmina S. N. Abdiche
Former Research Scientist
Dr. Abdiche received a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from Oxford University in
2000. During her graduate work she synthesized a recombinant analog of
transcription factor NF-kappa-B p50, engineered a panel of its mutants, and
characterized their altered DNA-binding kinetics using surface plasmon
resonance spectroscopy. She joined the Center for Biomolecular Interaction
Analysis in June 2000.
Dr. Abdiche developed a number of protocols to implement biosensors in drug
discovery including improving methods to characterize
how drugs interact with serum proteins. In addition, she participated in
a comparative analysis of equilibrium constants, thermodynamic, and
kinetic constants determined by Biacore and solution-based methods.
Dr. Abdiche is currently a research scientist at Rinart Neuroscience in Palo Alto, CA.
