The Center has been collaborating with CFD Research Corp to better understand mass transport properties in flow cell-based biosensor instruments.

On the right are precise 3D models of single and array-based flow cell systems. We are using these models to simulate reaction data under a variety of conditions, including different analyte diffusion constants, flow rates, surface capacity, and reaction kinetics. This information is essential for validating new methods of kinetic data extraction that we are currently developing for DARPA.
