Iva Navratilova
Postdoctoral Scientist

Dr. Navratilova received a Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry at Masaryk University (Czech Republic). Her graduate work was focused on developing novel biosensor technologies based on SPR, microcantilever, cyclic voltammetry, and piezoelectric phenomena. Her recently completed dissertation was entitled “Transducers for Direct Sensing of Immunochemical Interactions”.

Dr. Navratilova joined the Center in the fall of 2003. She is developing SPR-based assays to characterize the binding of small molecules directly to GPCRs on the sensor surface. She has identified solubilization and purification conditions for chemokine receptors CCR5 and CXCR4 which maintain full receptor binding activity.
