Cheryl L. Baird
Postdoctoral Scientist
Dr. Baird received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Utah in 2000.
As a graduate student, she studied the kinetic mechanism of type II DNA topoisomerase.
She joined the Center in November 2000.
During her postdoc at the Center, Dr. Baird participated in a detailed comparison of the results
from Biacore with titration calorimetry and stopped flow. She also developed assays to measure how
drugs interact with lipid bilayers as a method of predicting membrane solubility.
Dr. Baird worked at SRU Biosystems on a high-throughput array based biosensor and recently joined Pacific North West National Labs.
