Mouse Genotyping: The Genomics core facility offers mouse genotyping using the Research Genetics Mouse MapPairs® Microsatellite markers. 410 markers spaced at 10cM are available for genotyping. Most have > 5 alleles on the following 13 common strains: ob, cast, spr, a, b6, c3h, dbs, balb, akr, non, nod and lp. We have identified two sub-sets of markers at approximately 10cm and 20cM that distinguish between b6 and c3h mouse strains. The 10cM set consists of 284 markers.
