General Procedures for Preparing and Staining Cells

    For detailed procedures, we maintain a current copy of the Wiley publication "Current Protocols in Cytometry" in the FACScan Lab (603 Wintrobe).  Anyone is welcome to come and look through the protocols and make copies as necessary.  Also, look through our page of web links for other sources of technical information on the preparation of samples.  Listed below are some very commonly used protocols:
